Who We Are

Our research combines experimental research with computational modeling for catalysis applications, such as Fischer-Tropsch, aromatization, water-gas-shift, steam reforming, and water-to-hydrogen. We have integrated CO2 utilization, working with bio-based systems. The Crew has expanded their research to material degradation throughout history.

We hope that pairing experimental testing with mathematical modeling will provide a more focused direction for future work, in addition to offering a hands-on experience to students who study in math, chemistry, chemical engineering, and biology. These students will experience research, but also learn how to communicate with others who do not study in their field. The the end goal of this group is to learn, by working in a multi-discipline research collaboration, for a single purpose – to better the world.
